Nevluvim Cesky.

"I don't speak Czech."

After 3 days of intensive Czech classes I now have 6 hours of instruction under my belt. To show for this I can sort of count, ask people their names, where they're from, how they're doing, and what their telephone numbers are.
The problem is that every time I try to talk to someone in a store or at a restaurant in Czech, they respond to me in English. I guess we just scream AMERICAN!!!!!

The past couple of days have been full of sight-seeing. NYU offers many free tours of different attractions around the area. Today we took a tour of the Prague Castle grounds. There we got some AMAZING views of the city. We took the 6pm tour so the lighting was perfect.

Jess and I making wishes, tossing coins in a fountain.

Another view of the city with the moon.

I just couldn't resist taking a million pictures of these gorgeous views.

Jess, Sarah, and Grant and dinner-Cheers! I had salmon for dinner- something that everyone has advised me not to do. Apparently because the Czech Republic is land locked they only get shipments of fish twice a week or so and therefore everyone is afraid of the fish. Well I ate it about 4 hours ago and I'm still OK.

Yesterday we took a tour of Jewish Prague. We went to a museum and the cemetery of holocaust victims.

After the tour we walked up a billion stairs to the top of this hill that overlooked the city.

This is the view out the window of my Czech class...
The baby blue building is the other NYU building. This is Male Namesti it means small square because it is right next to Old Town Square...

The view looking towards Old Town Square out the window.

Jess hanging out our window looking down Osadni.

My feet are tired. We walk a lot.

Ahoj!
